What the...daily

How's this for the start of your day? You're sleeping comfortably, trying to postpone the inevitable moment when your alarm will go off and start another workday when all of a sudden....BAM! You're attacked by a furry beast who wants nothing more than to savagely devour you (ooor maybe just lick you awake, I haven't figure that out yet). Just look at that ferocious face!

Oh the horror!
Alright well maybe it wasn't a full blown attack but at 5 A.M. it's still pretty traumatic! The little monster actually expected attention too.

Well if that rude awakening wasn't enough as I started driving to work I noticed a little piece of paper flying on my windshield (full number removed for privacy reasons).

The very "official" looking note
After the usual stream of obscenities I proceeded to frantically circle my car to look for damage but to no avail since I was already late for work. Turns out the culprit backed into my car and tapped it, upon further examination I found that the front bumper is no longer aligned with the rest of the car, and while it's certainly not worth contacting insurance companies over I hope I won't get stiffed on the bill.

Driver side front bumper - Not too bad, just annoying
On the exciting side, after nearly 5 hours of search I've ordered a point-and-shoot which should serve well to capture the future Vegas shenanigans. Trying to find a compact, decent zoom, HD-movie-ready camera is much harder than it sounds, especially when most "pro" review sites have completely differing opinions. One site would claim photos from a specific camera are unprintable and washed out, while another would sing its praises. With no shortage of desperation the winner was...Panasonic Lumix FX75 a nice little find at only $139.

In any case it's now a waiting game for that delivery truck, which will be followed by tens of test snaps for some photo overload. All in preparation for that perfectly embarrassing bachelor party shot to be blown up during the wedding reception!

I'd say that's enough excitement from one day, now for an overdue dose of buyer's remorse to be quashed as soon as my camera arrives.
